Listed in the National Registry for Historical Buildings and completed in 1921, Chapman University’s Memorial Hall houses the 900-seat Chapman Auditorium. With its classic horseshoe-shaped structure and ornate wooden ceiling beams, the Chapman Auditorium hosts concerts, lectures and the annual “American Celebration” gala performance by the students of Chapman’s College of Performing Arts. The elegant pillared exterior of the building has made it an attractive backdrop for scenes in many TV series and in popular movies such as “Crimson Tide,” “Rocky and Bullwinkle,” “Accepted” and “That Thing You Do.”
