The Barclay's annual New World Flamenco Festival is made possible in part by grants and by the generous support of donors whose tax-deductible contributions have become increasingly important. The Festival is an expensive undertaking under any circumstances. However, in recent years, the dramatic rise of the euro against the dollar, and increases in international airfares have added tremendous financial challenges to keeping the festival alive.
Even after selling every available ticket, only 60% of direct expenses for this year's festival will be covered. In this light, we introduce the Friends of Flamenco and encourage you to lend your support so that the New World Flamenco Festival at the Barclay may continue to thrive. Gifts of any amount are welcome.
