Irvine, ca,feb 2008 – jameson irish whiskey comes from one of the greatest story-telling cities in the world – dublin, ireland – so it is only natural that jameson would support comics, laughter and having a good time with friends. Today, jameson kicks off the jameson comedy tour, a nationwide tour of some of today’s freshest comics at the world famous improv comedy club in irvine, ca. Headliners include bert kriescher, billy gardell, steve byrne and michael loftus. The national tour will continue through march 2008 stopping in ten cities including chicago, washington dc, new york and boston. The improv continues to maintain its position as america's original comedy showcase and is proud to join jameson irish whiskey to present the jameson comedy tour. Headliner steve byrne was born in new jersey to a korean mother and an irish father providing him with a wealth of hilarious material. Steve has been seen on comedy central presents, jimmy kimmel live, and the carson daily show. Nick griffin’s observations of life and relationships have his audiences screaming with laughter. Griffin has been seen on comedy central, letterman and the craig kilborn show. Adding to the fun is billy gardell. Born to the hard blue – collar steel of pittsburgh, billy learned early that a strong sense of humor would be a convenient weapon. Gardell has made several television appearances on abc, showtime, mtv and a&e. Rounding out the bill is danny bevins. Danny’s goal is to leave his audience physically and emotionally exhausted from laughter.
