Los Angeles Ballet - Orange County Debut

The debut of  Los Angeles Ballet on December 2nd, 2006 was met with standing ovations and critical acclaim. The Los Angeles Times  proclaimed: "...Los Angeles Ballet is the real thing, a force for many kinds of excellence that deserves the community's attention and support." This concert will showcase two premieres -- a world premiere by Lester Horton Award-winner Jennifer Backhaus of Backhausdance, plus the Los Angeles Ballet premiere of Lar Lubovitch's The Evangelist . The evening will also include Balanchine's Allegro Brillante , a classical bravura work for five couples danced to an exciting score by Tchaikovsky, as well as Balanchine's Who Cares?, with its classical American score by Gershwin/Kay.
