Los Angeles Ballet

The debut of  Los Angeles Ballet on December 2nd, 2006 was met with standing ovations and critical acclaim. The Los Angeles Times  proclaimed: "...Los Angeles Ballet is the real thing, a force for many kinds of excellence that deserves the community's attention and support." This May,  Los Angeles Ballet will showcase world premieres of two  renowned choreographers: a dance piece by the Lester Horton Award winner, Jennifer Backhause of Backhouse Dance; and The Evangelist by choreographer Lar Lubovitch. Also on the program is Balanchine's Allegro  Brilliante , a classical  bravura work for five couples danced to Tchaikovsky's exciting score; and back by popular demand is Bounonville's Napoli Pas de Six and Tarantella.
